Black Cat, (or sometimes referred to as Black Cat Records or Black Cat Holdings) is a record label founded and established on March 1st, 1999 by Julian Johnston as a means to release all of punk rock band Gen Strike's albums. Gen Strike is the sole artist signed to Black Cat and since its inception the label has released and handles all of the band's albums, singles, compilations, and digital distribution releases. Black Cat also releases and handles all merchandise for Gen Strike as well. Johnston is the sole proprietor and owner of the label Black Cat.
